Dear Dental Patients:
My family and I have made some tough choices the past 6 months, and we are soon going to be relocating to Hutchinson. As you may know, our oldest son is mentally disabled, and we have been looking for a community that offers activities, and services for adults with intellectual disabilities, now that he has graduated from high school.
It is very difficult to leave a family dental practice that was founded over 55 years ago by my father, Dr. Eugene. With the retirement of Dr. Mosier in Herington, and the passing of Dr. Hague in Peabody, our little 3 operatory office has struggled to treat the vast periodontal problems, and restorative needs of this area.
As of today, my dental practice is for sale, and I have accepted a position as the Dental Director at Health Ministries Clinic in Newton, a Federally Qualified Health Center. Starting March 28, 2016, Connie Andrews, DDS will fill in here in Marion on Mondays and Tuesdays, and I will work in Marion on Fridays into the summer. There are an overwhelming number of patients in this underserved area, and if you wish, I can continue treating you and your family at Health Ministries Clinic in Newton, a remodeled 4 operatory dental clinic staffed by me, a hygienist, and two assistants. At Health Ministries, I will provide similar services to what I have in Marion, except for dentures, partials, and implants. If you wish to change dentists and stay locally, there are experienced providers within 10 miles of Marion. We can forward your information to another dentist if you need us to.
Thank you for your patience as I work through this transition, and investigate options for keeping a dental clinic in Marion.
Gerald A. Vinduska, DDS
